Rear ended! GRRR!

Last night I was driving Hana to play rehearsal and I got rear ended. We were in a construction zone. I was stopped at a red light. The light turned green and I was the lead car. I started to accelerate into the intersection. There was a construction worker there and he flipped up his STOP sign at me so I did. I had barely moved after all. The guy behind me...MEN...hit me. The car is not even a year old.

His car was a disaster. I'd say totalled. But luckily for me because he was low to the ground and I was up high there was not much damage. Already reported to insurance and he was declared at fault. His insurance company agrees and says they will pay for all damages. Hana and I are both fine. Here's my bumper:

Week 2 of the Sketchapalooza class has finished up. Having fun getting caught up. I'm actually working on the family album for JULY 2009!!! I'm current!!! (You can click on the picture to enlarge if you want)

Sketch 10 -- I LOVE LOVE LOVE this layout!!! I tried to mimic the Wicked poster.

Sketch 11 -- this is actually from Monday so this starts week 3.

These are some other layouts I've done recently. Not for the class but just while my mojo has been working.

Close up of the left hand side...pretty thrilled with how this came out. :)

Sketchapalooza 4 layouts - week 1

Just posting a few layouts that I have done recently and from the Sketchapalooza 4 class. You can click on the photos to enlarge them.

Sketch 3 - This is Hana's 3rd grade summary year

Sketch 4 - This goes with the layout I posted earlier of Hana in her Poodle costume from her spring play.

Sketch 5 - This is Hana's dance recital -- the hip hop routine.

Sketch 6 - another dance layout - this one of Hana and her pal from school who also takes classes at the same studio.

This isn't a sketch from the class. Just one I've done recently. This is Noah's Kindergarten summary year.

This is one other that I've done recently that was a spotlight on Hana's role in her school play.

Sponge Bob's 10th Birthday

Who knew that Sponge Bob's was turning 10? Borders Bookstore was having a celebration in honoring of this momentous occasion. Took the kiddos on down to see what there was to do. They made some popsicle puppets, made birthday cards for Sponge Bob (the store worker said they would be sure Sponge Bob gets them), had story time, answered trivia questions for prizes and had a "lively" parade around the store. Two hours I'll never get back again.

A PageMaps sketch

This is a Becky Fleck PageMaps Sketch from her blog. I have fallen off of these types of challenges for a while. Got too busy during the school year and with life in general. I love these challenges. I thought this was perfect for showcasing Hana in her play. Still have several more photos to go of the play but this is my starting point. I think my favorite part was the fluffy pink fiber I put around the journal box. :) Also got the actress to autograph the page for me.

Sketchapalooza 4 layouts

I'm taking an online sketch class with Feeling Scrappy.
I have taken their classes before and took their Sketchapalooza 2 class last summer and got so many layouts done. This is Sketchapalooza 4. Already I'm loving it.

I already posted this layout but it was for the first sketch on Monday.

This is the second sketch from Wednesday. It was a one page sketch. I converted it to a two page layout though. It was from Crazy Hair Day at the kids school back in May I believe.

I haven't done today's sketch and I think I get two more over the weekend. So...hoping to find some time to work on them. :)

Another Layout

This is another Lita sketch. She posted it tonight (well this morning Down Under) and I couldn't wait to get started.

Here's her original sketch:

Then here is my take on it. This was our last girl scout outing as a Brownie troop. We bridged to Juniors a month later. This is late May this year.
