Catching up on October

Things have been pretty busy around here. The end of October always is but the kids have kept me busy busy busy as well. Hana with dance, play rehearsal, field trips, and school of course. Noah with cub scouts, play rehearsal, school, and just being the boy he is. :)

A repeat trip to Gilroy Gardens with the whole family.

Noah's new obsession -- Bakugan. They are these little toys that look like a ball but when they are thrown or put on a magnet they pop open to reveal a creature inside.

Finding time for homework

The CA School for the Deaf celebrated 150 years of excellence in education for Deaf children. I'm proud to teach at this fantastic school...even if they make me wear pumpkin orange shirts.

This year's costumes: Hana as a ballerina squirrel (a costume recycled from this summer's Willy Wonka play) and Noah as an X-Wing Fighter Pilot.

At the kids' school haravest festival. Noah tries his hand at cemetery golf.

Hana got lucky and won a cake in the cake walk game

Don got in the spirit at the Homecoming game for the CA School for the Deaf and got an eagle painted on his cheek.

Hana's class went on a field trip to the CA Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.

Annual trek to the pumpkin patch. This one was squeezed in on a Tuesday afternoon just before Halloween when I didn't have any meetings. Phew!

Noah and pumpkin joy

Hana and an odd pumpkin she noticed (didn't like it enough to buy it though)

Hana goofing off at dance with her BFF

Noah in his school Halloween costume parade (he's in orange next to his teacher Mrs. Potts)

Hana with her class after the parade

Trick or Treating with Hana's BFF. Thank goodness the haul was a bit smaller this year.
