A PageMaps sketch

This is a Becky Fleck PageMaps Sketch from her blog. I have fallen off of these types of challenges for a while. Got too busy during the school year and with life in general. I love these challenges. I thought this was perfect for showcasing Hana in her play. Still have several more photos to go of the play but this is my starting point. I think my favorite part was the fluffy pink fiber I put around the journal box. :) Also got the actress to autograph the page for me.

Sketchapalooza 4 layouts

I'm taking an online sketch class with Feeling Scrappy.
I have taken their classes before and took their Sketchapalooza 2 class last summer and got so many layouts done. This is Sketchapalooza 4. Already I'm loving it.

I already posted this layout but it was for the first sketch on Monday.

This is the second sketch from Wednesday. It was a one page sketch. I converted it to a two page layout though. It was from Crazy Hair Day at the kids school back in May I believe.

I haven't done today's sketch and I think I get two more over the weekend. So...hoping to find some time to work on them. :)

Another Layout

This is another Lita sketch. She posted it tonight (well this morning Down Under) and I couldn't wait to get started.

Here's her original sketch:

Then here is my take on it. This was our last girl scout outing as a Brownie troop. We bridged to Juniors a month later. This is late May this year.

New Layout

I did this layout last night from Lita who is now sharing her lovely creativity in sketches on her blog. She's been sharing her layouts on ScrapShare for awhile.

Here's my take on her sketch #1. This is N at Open House at school in late May. He was showing me how well he reads ... my smartie pants. Love this boy.

and a link to Lita's blog Embracing Imperfection

Sketch #2 is up and I can't wait to get to work on it!

Can't neglect my boy...

N has been busy too. He finished up a week of Lego camp in June and has another later this month. He's also taking karate and soccer and is improving. That's all I can ask. He is a Tiger Scout now and looking forward to the family camping trip in a few weeks.

Soccer....

Karate .... (way in the back practicing his high blocks)

Drama Girl updates

What has been going on with H lately? I realized I never posted pics of her school play, dance recital and now this weekend's play. Here we go.

School spring play: Alice in Some Kind of Wonderland
H was a Poodle Juror

For her dance studio's recital she was in two dances. The first for Ballet was to Somewhere Over the Rainbow:

Next for Hip Hop it was some hip hoppy song they called I'm A Little Teapot:

She just finished a four week summer drama camp with a local children's theatre group. The did Seussical Jr. H was a Who. It was a great opportunity for her to learn more about choreography, vocals, and just putting the whole thing together in a very professional show. It was fantastic (and I saw it 5 times!!).

And a couple videos from the show...

Up next? She is in 5 zillion dance classes for the summer program. Also early and mid August will be the performances for her other play -- Willy Wonka Jr. This is through another community theatre group who does one children's play each summer. She's an Oompa Loompa in that play.

Few new layouts for the Family Portrait album

I got to work on this album a little today. I don't know why I don't work on it more often. I love it. It is one of my favorite projects. You can see it isn't done much since these are of H at ages 8 months, 12 months and 12 1/2 months.

I think this one is my favorite. I just love how it came out. And now I am thinking I should buy H and myself some more matching clothes. Bwahahahahahaha! She'd just die of humiliation.
