Happy Birthday to my Baby Boy

My friend Lisa did this on her blog and I loved it. Just wanted to show my boy. I'm behind in posting. We were in Disneyworld on his birthday.

Here he is a few months old:

And here he is at 6 years old on his birthday at Disneyworld. We had dinner at the Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom with all the Pooh characters.

I know I've been behind on blogging

Here's just a photo recap of some of the things we've done this month:

Building new Lego creations

Learning that two mentos in diet coke will cause an explosion (Don wasn't happy to see his precious diet coke wasted but it only works in diet coke)

Inauguration day

"Mommy! I have a new pout! Can you take a picture?"

Lily all wrapped up in yet another of her bizarre positions. Don sees nothing wrong with this.

My little bag boy. Almost six and he can fit quite nicely in a canvas bag...

Birthday celebrations in the works!

Here it comes! My little guy is turning 6. Today was the designated day for all February birthdays to be celebrated in Kindergarten. There were 4 in the Kindergarten level -- 4 classes -- 3 of them were in N's class. So I was making cupcakes last night -- vanilla as requested with blue frosting. Well, I had all of two drops of blue food coloring so they were very very very light blue. I spiced 'em up with some sprinkles and some m&ms in the shape of the number 6. Not too bad, huh?

So, Don took the cupcakes to school today just before recess so he could get in on all the photo fun for me. Well my son has been trained well and led my less than eager camera toting hubby all over the playground taking photos of him with just about every single child in class! I love my son! Here is some of the fun (minus those with the other children...too many faces to blur out):

Ho Ho Ho

Took the kiddos to see the most unenthusiastic Santa I've ever seen. Couldn't be bothered to even crack a smile. Bah humbug to you, sir.

My Naughty Naughty child

H was in her school's winter play past Thursday and Friday -- the Nutcracker. She had a small role as one of the Naughty Children who hide under Mother Gingerbread's skirt and then come out and sing a song. It was actually the hardest song of the play...I think...I don't know that I could have memorized it. I'm proud of her. She also sang Silver Bells with the whole cast at the end. I'll try to link the video later but for now...pictures.

Getting ready to take her bow. A true Star!

Grushkin elfs

And here's a link to the disco dancing Grushkin elfs. Oh my goodness this version had us all in stitches. Even Don the Grinch cracked a smile.

Shades of Tween-hood

This expression has been rearing its head more and more frequently.

This time was because she made a deal with Don that if he made pancakes for breakfast that she would wash dishes. H doesn't wash dishes and doesn't know how. She thought she could skate out of her promise. Don and I held her to it. Here's the joy we got to see:
