Halloweenie Fun

What a day! We started with facing a gloomy wet day. It had rained during the night so the Halloween parade at school was moved to the cafeteria. Parents were practically standing on top of each other. So crowded. But H and N had fun watching the parade and did well marching across the stage.

Then there was pumpkin fun for the kindergarteners (selecting a pumpkin, measuring its width, weighing it, and predicting if it would sink or float). N chose an enormous pumpkin. H's  class had a party. I was happy to get to spend time in their classes for this fun day.

At night we freshened up the costumes again and went out trick or treating. We had to take along an umbrella because it was sprinkling on us on and off during the night.

When we got home after an hour and half walking around, the kids checked out their haul. Quite a bit of loot. N later counted and sorted out his Crunch bars, Kit Kats, M&Ms and then the lesser candies (in his mind). He counted to 90 mostly on his own. Quite a bit of candy.

I hope you all had a safe and happy Halloween.
